Precautions for use and maintenance of Yuzhou filter press

The following are the precautions for the use and maintenance of Yuzhou filter press: 

1. Only after the filter press has been debugged and confirmed to be functioning properly can materials be fed into it. Before each shift, a comprehensive inspection of the entire machine must be conducted. The mechanical pressing transmission components and the reduction gearbox must be fully lubricated; for hydraulic pressing, the oil tank storage capacity and the working pressure of the hydraulic station must be rechecked. The hydraulic oil should generally be replaced once a year. During replacement, the hydraulic system should be thoroughly cleaned. The working pressure of the hydraulic station should be less than the maximum working pressure of the oil cylinder, but it should not be lower than the allowable value of the filtration pressure. If it is too low, it may cause significant leakage, while if it is too high, it may damage the mechanical parts. 

2. It is prohibited to operate the machine when the number of filter plates is less than the specified quantity, to avoid damaging the machine parts. Before adding material, check the arrangement of the filter plates. The filter cloth must not be folded to prevent major leakage. After unloading the cake, the filter plates must be tightly pressed and neatly arranged. 

3. Only after everything is back to normal can the filter plate be compressed and pressurized for filtration. The filtration pressure and temperature must be within the specified range. Too high filtration pressure can cause leakage, and too high filtration temperature can easily deform the plastic filter plate. When feeding, the suspension should have a uniform concentration and must not contain impurities. After unloading the cake, the filter cloth and plate must be thoroughly cleaned. Residues are not allowed to adhere to the sealing surface or feeding channel, as this can affect the smooth feeding and the sealing performance of the filter plate, leading to pressure imbalance on both sides of the filter plate and resulting in deformation and damage to the filter plate. 

4. The selection of filter cloth must meet the filtration technology requirements of the filter paddle. Before manufacturing new filter cloth, it should be shrunk first. The diameter of the opening should be smaller than the pore size of the filter plate. When matching the filter plate, the holes in the cloth should be relatively concentric with the holes in the plate. The feed hole of the cloth cylinder should be tightly attached to the cylinder wall, otherwise it will result in unclear filtration, low filtration rate, cracked cloth cylinder, and failure to achieve the intended filtration purpose. 

5. During the initial stage of pressure filtration, the filtrate is turbid. Once a layer of filter cake forms on the filter cloth, the filtrate becomes clear. If the filtrate remains turbid or turns from clear to turbid, it may indicate damage to the filter cloth or a mismatch between the cloth holes and the plate holes. In such cases, it is necessary to close the valve or stop feeding and replace the filter cloth. A small amount of leakage caused by capillary action of the filter cloth between the filter plates is permissible. 

6. When moving the filter plate, apply even and appropriate force, and avoid collision or hitting, to prevent damage to the sealing surface and the filter plate handle. The filter cloth will become hardened and its performance will decline after being used for a period of time. Therefore, regular inspections are necessary. If any changes are found that affect the filtration rate, a corresponding low-concentration weak acid or weak alkali can be used for neutralization and cleaning to restore the function of the filter cloth. If it cannot be restored, replace it promptly. 

7. Valves for slurry, washing liquid, or compressed air must be activated according to operating procedures and cannot be activated simultaneously. During diaphragm squeezing, the pressure of compressed air cannot exceed the filtration pressure.
